Yesterday Beyonce’, Blue Ivy, and her mother Tina Knowles-Lawson visited their hometown of Houston, Texas to help aid the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The trio made an appearance at St. Johns Church in Houston.
“You are such as incredible example of what light and love is. And this today is a celebration of survival. Ya’all are my family. Houston is my home. And I thank God that y’all are safe, that your children are safe. The thing that really matters is your health and your children and your family.” stated the songstress.
She continued by saying “And I just want to say I love you. I am so thankful to God that I feel blessed so that I can bless other people. And I ask you guys to continue to do that for other people.”
After the church service Beyonce’ and Mama Tina sponsored a dinner and fed over 400 residents. They later went to George R Brown convention center and talked to some of the residents on the needs of the people.
Beyonce’s foundation “BeyGood” is benefiting the Bread of Life, Greater Houston Community Foundation, and Texas Southern University to help Houston after the hurricane. You can donate to the cause through beyonce.com/beygoodhouston.
