Beyonce made history yet again last night as the first Black woman to headline Coachella and she did not miss a beat with her two hour long performance.
In honor of her making history as the first African American to headline the iconic festival, Yonce created an HBCU halftime show with a step team, dancers, bleachers, and a marching band.
She even sang the Black National Anthem and all her performance costumes were designed by Balmain. She brought out several guests including hubby Jay-Z, Solange, and former Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
At the end of her set she thanked Coachella “Thank you Coachella for letting me be the first Black woman to headline…Ain’t that a bitch?”, stated Beyonce.
Mrs. Carter is set to perform again during the second weekend of Coachella (April 21).
