On Wednesday (May 21) celebrities, family, and fans gathered at REVEL lounge of Atlanta to celebrate the life of Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes. Lisa Lopes was one third of the infamous Atlanta girl group TLC until her untimely death in 2002.
Each year Lisa’s sister, Reign Drop and the Lisa Lopes Foundation hosts an intimate dinner to celebrate the late rapper’s birthday as well as her legacy. This year marks the 8th anniversary of the organization’s festivities.
During the dinner, fans views home movies and clips of the late legend’s performances while enjoying the chef’s special of chicken or fish. After the dinner, hosts Shamari Devo of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Brad James of For Better or Worse started the silent auction of paintings, book bags designed by Reign Drop, and memorabilia created by Lopes’ mother. The goal of the auction was to raise $15,000 for the Lisa Lopes Foundation to continue their many efforts in the community.
