California Senator Kamala Devi Harris is successfully continuing her 2020 Presidential Campaign across America. While continuing to promote her campaign slogan “For The People”. Previously we reported that several people weren’t fond of Senator Kamala Harris running for president due to her previous decisions to fight against body cameras and shorter sentences for non-violent crimes.
However, since her strong performance in the first Democratic presidential primary debate, she has drastically changed voters minds. Two national surveys show senator Harris in the lead.
The night of the debate, Senator Harris took charge of the debate when the topic of race and busing came up. “I will direct this at Vice President Biden, I do not believe you are a racist and I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground, but I also believe and it is personal and it was actually hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country. And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing”, Harris told Biden.
She continued by saying, “There was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools and she was bused to school every day. That little girl was me.”
This debate was a pivotal move in Harris’ Presidential Campaign for the 2020 Presidential race. Boosting her approval rating to 13%.
