There were guidelines surrounding the Queen’s funeral sent to embassies explaining that there is ‘limited space at the state funeral service and associated events, no other members of the principal guest’s family, staff or entourage may be admitted.’
Heads of state that cannot attend are allowed to choose someone else as their official representative.
Joe Biden will be attending the funeral as he has said that he intends to travel to London especially.
Donald Trump has paid tribute to the Queen, commenting on how meeting her was ‘the most extraordinary honour of my life’. He had met the Queen on two separate occasions whilst he was the President of America.
He has said that meeting Her Majesty was among the highlights of his career.
Although Trump will not receive an invite to the funeral, many other leaders such as Jacinda Ardern, Justin Trudeau and Anthony Albanese are due to attend.
The world leaders have been told to fly on commercial flights and not to use helicopters to fly around the UK, on the day of the funeral they will travel in escorted coaches from West London to Westminster Abbey.
