Gina Rodríguez celebrated her 38th birthday this year as she announced she is pregnant.
“This birthday hits different,” she captioned an Instagram post with a video featuring footage and photos with her husband Joe LoCicero.
LoCicero, 35, also shared a sweet tribute to his wife on Saturday, writing, “Wherever you go my heart follows. Happy Birthday my Goddess.”
Rodriguez and LoCicero first connected on the set of Jane the Virgin in 2016 when he had a brief cameo on the telenovela. They tied the knot in May 2019 and this would be their first child.
As soon as they shared the news, the couple received support from fans and friends of them.
Among the public figures sharing support in the comments was Taraji P. Henson, who wrote, “So happy for you,” and Rodriguez’s Someone Great co-star Brittany Snow, who shared, “Yaaaaaay my love!! So much love for you THREE.”
Jaime Camil, Rodriguez’s onscreen father on Jane the Virgin, posted, “My heart is bursting for you two.”
