In a recent BBC show where he co-hosted, Idris Elba was asked questions by the host Tiffany Calver, about the setlist he performed at the 2018n royal wedding for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The couple had a private evening reception at Frogmore House, where Idris Elba took over the DJ booth.
Calver asked what the vibe was like at the wedding, following with ‘’what tune was the one that got everyone going crazy?’’
Elba replied with ‘’Whitney Houston ‘I Want to Dance with Somebody’, that it ‘went off’ when that was played, mixed with ‘’Still D.R.E by Dr Dre ft. Snoop Dogg. He added that the rap was ‘Meghan’s choice’.
According to Elba, Meghan had sent him a playlist with ‘bare tunes’ on it. When questioned about particular songs he just said ‘’there was some West Coast on it’’ also saying to ask Meghan and Harry for further details as he wasn’t going to ‘’put their business out like that’’.
Elba tries not to talk about the event too much as like he has said before, it is a private day, but he has said how it has been on the highlights of his life.
A source has previously said that ‘’it was a huge dance party; everyone had a blast’’ which I think says all we need to know.
