According to sources close to the Little Mix girls, Jesy wasn’t the first member of Little Mix to express her urge to leave the world – famous girl group.
Perrie apparently ‘explained to bosses’ back in 2019 that she saw her time in the group ‘coming to an end’, which was a year before fellow member Jesy Nelson called her own meeting ‘’telling the girls she couldn’t continue’’. The source also added how the idea that ‘’everyone was happy in the band prior to Jesy leaving is a smokescreen’’.
Perrie decided to stay with the group for one last tour, their Confetti tour has been pushed from 2020 to 2022 due to the pandemic.
This news come shortly after Perrie announced her career change into a lifestyle guru, with 2 years in the making, she has secretly been working on her luxury brand ‘Disora’. A brand that will range from jewellery, clothing and cosmetics. Disora is expected to launch very soon, assuming it will come after the Confetti tour.
Another source close to the girls commented on Perrie’s new career change:
‘Music is Perrie’s first love and by no means has she ruled out doing solo songs in the future. But she is keen to do other things too and knows there is a huge market for women in their twenties and thirties who want a little bit of luxury in their lives.
Apparently, the girls have been really open with each other about what will come next, with loads of meetings happening to work out their next move as a group, as well as their solo paths.
With music being their main focus for so long, it seems like it will always stay so dear to all three of the girl’s hearts, however they have started to venture into their own separate projects. Leigh-Anne has signed up with Dua Lipa’s manager, and Jade is starting her songwriter and presenting career. We also cannot forget that Leigh-Anne and Perrie have recently started their latest (and most important job yet) – becoming mothers.
With all the talk of the girl group coming to an end, a date has been set on which the split will be announced, and their tour will be a ‘farewell to their fans’.
The (now 3-piece) girl group will release their seventh album, ‘Between Us’, next month.
