Carole Middleton who is of course most well – known for being Kate Middleton’s mum, has recently sold her company that she has had for a number of years, named Party Pieces.
Middleton first launched her company back in 1987, it started out as a party supply and decoration company.
Middleton has spoken about how she was 6 months pregnant when she first started her business venture, and starting by finding different suppliers, she started handing out flyers to local playgroups and before she knew it she was using her garden shed as a packing room and office.
The company unfortunately run into financial difficulties which meant Middleton had to sell the business, after a deal with a US company, Saker ShopRite, didn’t work out.
Mostly being hit by the pandemic, as many businesses were, she decided to sell the company to James Sinclair, who is founder of the Partyman Group of companies, there are no further comments on the sale, however the 12 employees that worked for Party Pieces will continue to stay on with the new ownership.
