Stylist to the stars, Kollin Carter, has styled everyone from Cardi B, Nicole Scherzinger, and Offset. In light of the national protests to end racial injustices and police brutality, Carter called out fashion designers in a recent Instagram post who aren’t speaking out. In the post, Carter admitted to receiving several emails from brands that have been silent about the Black Lives Matter movement.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me for @fashionbombdaily’s “Stylist Of The Year” The constant love and support really means a lot! ❤️ Couldn’t have done it without the team I had this year @jennijenu x @v.msmith and my wonderful clients for trusting my vision!

“For you to be in my email begging for placements but have nothing to say when it comes to this matter is disgusting. Don’t use when it’s convenient for you to then turn around and not stand with us”, he wrote.

I will make it my duty to not associate myself or my clients with you guys anymore. You take from the culture, and us brown Men and Woman for your traffic and profit but have absolutely nothing to say now. Where’s the energy you had when the kangaroos in Australia were dying? You should be fucking ashamed of yourselves.

Kollin also made it a point to say that most fashion brands love the Black culture only when it’s beneficial to them.

“I will make it my duty to not associate myself or my clients with you guys anymore. You take from the culture, and us brown Men and Woman for your traffic and profit but have absolutely nothing to say now”, he stated.
