It was announced earlier this week that Leigh-Anne Pinnock from Little Mix will be a judge in the next series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Leigh-Anne will be the second member of the girl group to star as a judge, after bandmate Jade Thirlwall did for the first season, in 2019.
Leigh-Anne started filming for her episode at the beginning of the year in Manchester, and apparently producers of the show have wanted her to appear as a judge for a really long time, ‘’everything was very hush hush and she wasn’t able to tell many people she was doing it’’ says an insider of the show.
An insider of the show also says how Leigh-Anne is a ‘’massive fan of the show’’ and how ‘’the contestants loved going to meet her’’.

The Little Mix girls have always been a fan of the show with 3 famous drag stars [Alaska, Courtney Act and Willam] starring in their 2017 music video ‘Power’.
Jade, Little Mix member and a celebrity judge back in 2019, is particularly well known for being a fan of Drag Race, and an outspoken LGBTI supporter. Speaking about this, Jade said that her boyfriend [Jordan Stephen]’s love of ‘’drag’’ was one of the things that caught her interest in him too, as it means a lot to her.
When Jade starred on the show, she wore a shiny baby blue dress with white socks and blue stilettos, along with a white feather boa, so we can’t wait to see what fashion icon Leigh-Anne wears when the show airs.
It’s a huge time for Leigh-Anne at the moment, with announcement of her new show, her baby announcement and now her latest news about her being a guest judge on one of the biggest shows out there, it’s so exciting!
BBC haven’t released a date yet for when the third series of Drag Race UK will be out, but with auditions closing in November, hopefully we aren’t waiting too long!
