In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Saweetie and Quavo shared the details of how they met and other details of their relationship after two years of dating.
The couple’s first on-screen sighting was in Quavo’s “Workin Me” video. However, sparks flew way before then.
“He’s always been fine to me. In a group chat, I would screenshot his picture and be like, ‘Damn this n*a is fine.’” Quavo also revealed that he slid in Saweetie’s DMs after he saw her on his explore page on Instagram. “I was like, ‘Damn! Who is this? So I did my research and I [Dm’d] her. I was like, ‘How she going to call herself icy and she don’t talk to me?’”, he stated.
The couple also revealed that their first date was in Atlanta and they dined at the Stoney River Restaurant. He also took her on a grand tour of Quality Control Music’s headquarters and they later ended up at Magic City.
