People are talking about the Royal jewels that were worn at the funeral. Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales wore a necklace which was gifted to her by Her Majesty, the Queen.
The necklace was a tribute to the Queen, and was a pearl choker which was from the Queen’s very own personal jewellery collection, along with a set of pearl drop earrings.
The choker includes four rows of pearls, with a diamond clasp, the choker also featured three rows of diamonds that joined at the top and bottom.
The same necklace was also worn by Princess Catherine back in 2017, and the late Princess Diana back in 1982.
The pearl drop earrings have diamond studs with hanging pearls, according to research, pearls are also traditionally worn during a time of mourning, yet again paying tribute to the Queen’s passing.
Other guests, like Camilla, the Queen Consort, wore a diamond brooch which belonged to Queen Victoria, the brooch was previously worn for the Diamond Jubilee.
The sapphire brooch is in a shape of a heart, with the number ‘60’, to signify the number of years for said Diamond Jubilee.
Lady Louise Windsor – eldest child of Prince Edward – wore a silver necklace with a horse pendant to the funeral. Paying tribute to the Queen and their shared love of horses. Princess Charlotte also symbolised her great – grandmothers love of horses, with a horseshoe shaped brooch.
