Usher and his long – term girlfriend, music executive, Jennifer Goicoechea, said ‘I do’ this week (February 11th) after he performed at the Super Bowl on Sunday, according to a certificate of marriage which was obtained by CNN.
A representative of the singer released a statement “We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family”, going on to say how ”they both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes”.
The newly married couple both have a daughter together, Sovereign Bo, born in 2020 and a son Sire Castrello, born in 2021. Usher also has two more sons from his previous relationship with Tameka Foster.
The couple got ‘secretly’ married in Las Vegas only hours after he headlined Super Bowl. They have been dating since 2019, the wedding had witnesses including Usher’s mother Jonnetta Patton.
The owner of the wedding chapel in Vegas, Melody Willis-Williams, issued a statement congratulating the pair. ”We were beyond thrilled to host in this epic day for Usher and his new wife”.
Usher posted a collection of pictures on his Instagram with the caption ”One of them ones” with a ring emoji along with the date they got married (2.11.24), the photos were accompanied with him singing his song ”One of them ones”.
Usher headlined the Super Bowl halftime show where he sang all of his greatest hits across 13 minutes.
