Wesley Snipes starred in the leading role of 1991’s New Jack City as drug lord Nino Brown. The remake is set to be penned by Snowfall actor Malcolm M.Mays. In a recent interview, Snipes stated the classic film “should be left alone”.
“And the story was built around things that are current. I don’t particularly like the idea of recreating the drug culture. I don’t know. They actually talked to me about doing it and I told them no. If I had a dime for every time I’ve said no. It’s a done deal, it’s a wrap”, stated Snipes.
